Delhi Teens’ Chat On ‘Gang-Raping Girls’ Leaked

Screenshots from an Instagram group called "Bois Locker Room" revealing chats between a group of Delhi schoolboys from Class 11 and 12 sharing photos of underage women, followed by lurid discussions on their bodies have gone viral on social media.

An Instagram chat group called ‘Bois Locker Room’, with hundreds of boys from south Delhi, was allegedly used for sharing photos of underage girls, objectifying them and promoting rape culture, revealed a user on Twitter on Sunday, 3 May.

The boys allegedly shared morphed photos of underage girls, body shaming and slut shaming them.

The Delhi Police (Crime Branch Cell) has taken cognisance of the matter and have filed a case under the IT Act on the basis of social media posts, reported ANI.

In a separate incident, another screenshot that has gone viral claimed that underage boys were ‘planning gang rape’ and had made other such crude statements. Messages promoting rape culture, like “We can rape her easily” and “I will come whenever you say. We will gang rape her”, were allegedly discussed on the Snapchat group. The Quint is unable to independently verify this claim.The list of

The expletive-laden chats show the boys discussing having sex with their classmates as well as rating them on a scale of beauty vs the size of their breasts and how the latter makes up for any supposed deficiency in the former criteria.

"Bad dressing sense but good t**s" reads one such message.

As the leaked screenshots went viral and outrage over their behaviour poured out, many of the users of the group allegedly deactivated their social media profiles and also allegedly threatened to leak nude photos and hack accounts of the women who had outed them.

"Bhai jitni bhi ladkiyon ne stories daali hai na sabki nudes leak kar dete hain. Kuch kuch ki hai mere paas...now they'll know yeh sab *expletive* karne ka kya natija hota hai...ab muh band rakhengi yeh *expletive*...bada feminist banna hai na sabko...kahin muh dikhane ke layak nahi rahengi. [Let's post nude photos of all girls who posted stories about us. I have photos of some of them. Now they will know the result of these shenanigans. They will shut their mouth. They want to be feminists na... they will not be able to show their face in public.]"

Bois locker room is straight up sexual harassment. If you're even thinking about defending it you're complicit in every form of discomfort and abuse a girl has faced since puberty, sometimes even before. Stop normalising this under the garb of 'boys will be boys' it's disgusting.

Not The First Incident

In December 2019, a top ranked school in Mumbai suspended eight boys, aged 13 and 14, for making violent and sexually explicit remarks about their female classmates on a WhatsApp group. According to The Mumbai Mirror, the transcripts of the chat – which ran over a 100 pages – revealed that the boys were body shaming the girls and used words like 'gang bang' and ‘rape.’ Homosexuality was ridiculed – and the classmates were poked fun of as ‘gays and lesbians’. Throughout the chat, girl students were reportedly referred to as ‘trash’. The matter came to light when two mothers took it up with the school authorities, after their girl children refused to attend school.
